This first lesson is designed to:
- Introduce students to you as the facilitator
- Help you build relationships that motivate your students
- Establish an environment where your students feel comfortable and safe
- Create expectations for having a designated period each week for "WhyTry Time."
There are many different settings and professional roles using the WhyTry curriculum. We understand that this lesson plan may not be ideal for all situations. This first lesson is a little less scripted than the rest of the lessons. This will give you options and ideas for starting off your group or class in a positive way. The important thing to remember is to focus on the objectives and key concepts and to have fun with your students!
